Very Cool Mapping Technology will help Research Properties

With the latest and greatest in Mapping Technology from Google and Bing, you can now find out so much about a house before you even show up for a showing in your home buying search.

Being able to zoom in on a satellite map is now a basic must have of any map site.  You can now see what is near a home, whether it is train tracks, the highway, power lines or commercial buildings.  You can now eliminate properties from your home search without ever leaving your computer.  Bing (MSN) allows a satellite view from different exposures and you can view a property from all sides.  Google has a street view that allows you to view a neighborhood or approach to a house. Google has a Distance Calculator so you can measure distances on a map.  If you would like to walk to a commuter rail or want to know the distance to a particular school it allows you to draw a line and will immediately and accurately calculate the distance.

Google and Bing can definitely make your home search easier.  Don't forget them as a valuable home buying resource.

Even some of the property searches have added some of the cool mapping features.  You can now search by neighborhoods or certain areas based on your criteria.  Check out my new online home search site for Massachusetts Homes for Sale
